Woody, do you still have that old racing BMX frame with the yellow mag wheels? How much'd you want for it, I feel like building up something ridiculous to cruise around on this summer.

You can't apply enough force with a G clamp to crimp the stays?! Jeesus. What are you using as a caul?

Need to carve a custom woodblock to do it properly... i was just experimenting to see how much force was needed, used the rubber coated handle end of a shimano chainwhip cable tied on to the outside of the stay and was using a 3cm long piece of 6mm? allen key as the tool, barely even dented the stay mind you that was only 120mm? G clamp, need to get my hands on something a bit more serious, or use a bench vice (depending on frame clearance)
The tubing on the Cutters must be pretty tough, especially when it's such a small diameter like on the stays...
Fancy making me a caul to use...?! bet you've got all the right woodworking eqpmnt to hand huh...? Wish i had a shed...!

The bikes in Manchester but i'm not going to be around till next friday, no pics on me unfortunately.
Dont know on the crank and bar lengths either im afraid.
The paint is in pretty good condition, few small chips mainly on the seatstay from the stands at the velodrome. Nothing major though. The bike used to be badged as a Dave Quinn and was laquered, now the stickers have been removed you can still see the outline of the Dave Quinn decals in the laquer, however It looks pretty good, as if it was supposed to be that way. The Pendle stickers were just stuck over the top and came off really easy.
As i posted before, it has no brake mounts but the fork could be drilled.
I'll post some more pics next week and if your interested can meet on the weekend. Wheels are still available too if you want the whole thing, i think with a change of bar tape, stickers taken off and possibly different colour saddle it will make a really nice bike, shame its too small for me!
