Koga '91 RecordPro, old Adri van der Poel - Tulip/Koga Miyata team frame.
Too bad the previous owner sanded the whole thing; I'm coating it ral5004.Rigida DP18 650c on Shimano 600 (will be HSON), Chris King (on its way), Thomson Elite, Meric full-carbon bar with clear Oury, Dirty Harry (on its way), Dura Ace 7700 brake, SRAM Omnium, MKS GR9, Gipiemme Aero seatpost, Charge Spoon (will prob switch to Regal), KMC z510 (on its way) and an HSON rearwheel on Formula F/SS yet to buy.
Sofar:
Couldnt help myself to do a PS on it:
I have to say this forum is bad for your moneys..
Halfway into the build I started doubting the way I'm building it up, seeing all these bikes here come by.
Thanks to Dutch Cheese I now might get more information on the frame etc, so, knowing myself, I'll probably will be doing a rebuild next winter with original parts.
For my first build I'm still really happy with it though. -

Am I getting value paying 170 quid for a Sugino 75 crankset? (A hubjub deal for cranks + chainring of choice)
I've looked around for a couple of days and everywhere seems to have very little stock. Here and here for example. And I am sure I'll fuck up if I try to source chainring and cranks separately.
I remember people telling me about Sugino models in the 40 to 60 pound range. Whatever happened to those? There was something said about them doubling in price?
I am really skint right now so I'd like to pay as little as possible. The only value crankset I can think of is the BLB one, but with only one entry in the transmission database I'm not sure..

£170 for Sugino crankset(exc chainring) is about the going rate, they go for £100 2nd hand - unless your name is Phil

Phil and Campag are both very good, but pricey alternatives.
I have one of the former you can purchase if you like. There's also the EAI 'Campag compatible' lockring which is very solid and less than a tenner at hubjub.

my girlfriend is angry with me for buying such an 'ugly' bike and i am struggling to justify how it's beautiful in a different kind of way. can't wait to get it builtYou should dump her..
Planet X Stealth Carbon Track is a lovely frame.. :)
Everytime I look at my ugly yellow "thing" (posted earlier) I keep thinking about how bikes would have looked today if it wasn't for the shitheads in UCI.. I'm pretty sure that if they where not that conservative the trackbikes of today would be a flat sheet of carbon with a wheel in each end.. :) much like the Lotus.
I hear that it's now illegal to have an aero headtube and it's illegal to not have safety "taps" on the front fork, the taps that all professionals have been filing of the forks since they started putting them on the forks for the newbies. What the fuck is up with that?
edit; by the way, try riding it on the road, it's a really nice ride, comfy, stiff, and light :)
