Organ donation

The thing about organ donation is, you need to be alive for your organs to be of any use. If someone has been in a car crash and they're dead, their organs are useless. So you need to be in a critically ill state, in a coma or on life support or something. Not-quite dead.

Nah car crashes/trauma victims etc are viable donors, they actually make up the bulk I think. In fact motorcyclists are still colloquially known as "donors"
