I tried to explain to some woman this evening how to not lock her bike, seeing as it was only secured by a cable lock through the spokes of the (QR, obviously) front wheel.
I think I said something along the lines of "Be more careful locking your bike, someone could undo the front wheel and walk off with it". Her reply of "I know I should be more careful, but I've got a spare front wheel at home" suggests she didn't really get it.
