Yea it was. I can't remember his name either.. urgh. Definitely flexy and not the mallet of choice for an aid to trackstand but it was super light and you got genuine whip on the shot. I liked it.
As em said it's kris, he works (or at least worked, I've not seen him for
a while) in fenchurch st Evans (his user name here being Evans chris or something like that). It was made from cable ducting.
I think if it was a bit thicker it would still bend, but not as much... Obviously no good for tripods, but I'm sure if you played with it you could cope... Maybe it's the next freewheel?! :)
