Here's the weird thing - I would never consider wearing a helmet while skiing, but would not go without one when snowboarding. For me it comes down to the likelihood of landing on my head - This has never happened in 30+ years of skiing, but happens every few days of boarding.

We're not going with helmets, but the religious evangelism of helmets by almost everyone we've spoked to is really winding me up.
