The 50mm ones are awesome. The f/1.8 is the cheapest (only like £60 IIRC) then there's the f/1.4 which is higher range, faster and I think it has image stabilization. Then there's the mighty L series f/1.2 which is incredible. Very well made lens as you would expect from a Canon L series and super super fast at f/1.2.
The L lenses aren't cheap but they are by far the best lenses you can get for a Canon DSLR, or even a DSLR full stop.
