Some people have tyres last for age, while other kept getting punctured with the very same tyres, and it's usually just luck and/or riding style/installation.
I had conti ultra sport on the old Bianchi, I'm aware it's a shitty tyres with no puncture protection at all and way too thin, but for some strange reason (and at the time I wasn't that much of an experience cyclist) it managed to survived 6 months in London.
