    I used them on the peugeot and they are great, few people on here will recommend them as well.

    I'm thinking about a road bike nice and light but at the same time I wouldn't mind fitting a pannier rack. Bloody hell fixed gear bikes are so much easier to pick.

    Or is it worth me buying a full on road bike and just fitting my carridice saddle bag?

    Those brakes look good, and a damn sight cheaper than Paul Comp.

    There are road bikes with rack mounts, depends what you want to carry. I think there are some massive saddle bags on the market.
