Things to get-
Nitto Pearl
New pedals (these are fucked) some black Times
Was thinking of getting some Open Pros but the main reason I stuck with the CXP 12s is the feel of them. Nice and rigid but not overly stiff.
Maybe a Zen ring??!What length Pearl are you after Max?

Wanted: short Pearl stem.

haj, that is going to be brilliant.

So where can I get another 52T chainring for my DA 7400 cranks? Or is it a good idea to change from road cranks to track? I'm wondering if it was that I was running a single ring on cranks designed for double ring that caused the problem?

got some oval tubing for my next project.

absolutely love this. what's going on with the back wheel though? is it four white spokes laced into it? and what's the rim, is the chunk of silver a design on the rim or just a sticker? love it
well, to begin with, i love balance through tension and contrast. i always loved different wheels front/rear but
couldn't bring myself to a white front rim on that - it would have properly killed it dead. but the tire sets it off nicely.so then, since i have a slap of 3M reflective white vinyl and am a bit conscious about side visibility,
i thought put it on the rim. one can get these stripes for motorcycles, to be applied to the rim,
but that would make it a another hoop when you look at it stationary. instead, i applied as a short section,
so that it 'forms a circle' when it spins, but more to underline the actual spinning.
you really get that sense of speed there, watching it go round and i love the look when one locks the rear for a skid.
all that is made more visible through that white section on the rim.the spokes are wrapped in the same 3M stuff, i just wanted to see how it looks really.
did came up with this during actual lacing the wheel and expected it not to be that nice,
but it works for me. hope it lasts a bit.haha, reflective spokes ftw!
...and if you suspect, i might be a bit of a fuzzy person in that - you don't know half of it!

I found the perfect box for the missus' Bob Holiness front rack, she hate to be a mother, let alone have children (joy!), and to add injury, she's completely lactose intolerance, so I suppose this box is perfect (it's a Nestle Milk box for those who can't read it properly);

Ed, what wheels have you got on the Holdsworth?

Velo Orange wheelset (laced to generic Formula), cost only £135, bargainous.

so i ordered decals for my bike and got the silver outlined ones, no fill so the paint color serves as the filling color. they look like this, but the black is silver and the white is clear.
seeing that bike up there makes me think that a black frame with silver outlined decals might be pretty fucking sweet with all black parts.
now that would be fucking sweet mate, glossy glitterly black with that logos, can't wait to see the finish archive.

Nice one. Thanks...

And because these things are "projects", not just simple little maintenance jobs, I think I'll put some Cinelli bars and a 1A stem on there from the parts bin, which also means I'm eventually going to have to change the seat post too...
That seatpost looks like the one I always see on moots titanium frames. Its cool!

look like a nice little start.
try not to spend too much on it though, the cheaper the better, especially if you want to try out the whole silly nonsense that is fixed wheel.

well, after mdcc tester (rightly) sowed the seeds of doubt and I remembered the only reason I was building new wheels was so I could have a matching set, I decided to rebuild the front into 3X. Going to see if BC will true them up for me today.

yeah, well the frames free from freecycle, picked up some rims last year (no idea what they are, haven't looked) and am gonna do my best to re-use everything i can although think need new crank and a new chain and some tires and a front brake...
then if it works out nicely and i enjoy the ride, get the frame powder coated perhaps and slowly but surely turn it into a thing of beauty!

-
• #23824
been hunting several shop in London and ebay until I found this one that's the perfect size.
Brick Lane is a good location to find similar box that can support the weight of even Hippy and Big Red combine.
