offset, angled, whatever- mallet heads shouldn't be bigger than 2 1/4" in circumference, longer than 7", or drilled out with holes bigger than 1". you're meant to shuffle and hit the ball, not drag and whip it. my personal feeling is that mallets should be double capped as well, but until the materials are readily available i don't see that happening anytime soon.
