I want to give external bb a shot, I already have a set of Campag record pistas on another bike.
Its very easy to say well its only another £30 everywhere on a bike and end up spending £2k on something that was meant to be cheap.
@vmar the reason that track bikes have sorter crankset is to avoid pedal strike as you cannot set the cranks when to corner on a track bike like you can with a freewheel. so if you are intending to stay single speed thn go for the crank lenth you are used to but if you are thinking of going fixed then go for the shorter cranks.
