  • missed out this time.

    ahh well.

  • missed out this time.

    ahh well.

Nomination this chap for "stiff upper lip" award

  • i am in 107, see u guy soon

  • it was supposed to be expensive enough to discourage people from using that option. that seems to not have worked... i'm gonna be making tons of trips to the bloody post office...

I suspect that there are lot of people from outside of London for whom the cost and inconvenience of them coming into town to collect outweighed the cost of getting you to do it. Those in London suffer from unTweedly laziness.

  • Can I go to one of the shops on the day to get my registration pack?

  • Can I go to one of the shops on the day to get my registration pack?

that's cutting it a bit fine, no?

dont you know anybody that can collect it for you in advance of the big day?

  • Yes it is but I am not coming to town until the day and am a bit skint until a client pays me so couldn't pay 15 quid (sad I know)for postage.I don't know anyone who could collect either!!

  • Can I go to one of the shops on the day to get my registration pack?

I recall seeing on one of the registration pages that they must be collected by cob on Friday 9th

  • Just a thought... Could having the event free like this reduce the 'value' of it, risking a higher dropout rate as folks who've entered at no cost then change plans nearer the date, or just cba to pick up their entry packs...?

Having paid 15 and being a tight git i'd crawl to be there if necessary, but wouldn't be so minded if i'd paid nowt...

With this in mind is there an option to transfer entries for folks who do drop out?

  • Well done Ted for all your hardwork so far. No doubt you'd love it if 1000 people could ride but as thats not the case at all I hope everyone who didn't get on the list respects your wishes and doesn't turn up. Would be a poor show if a rabble showed up and marred the day..
Sure some people will drop out nearer the time and I hope those places can go to those who deserve them most.

This will be the tweed run hatrick for me. Win.

There are a few hundred people in london that you could ask to pick it up for you. heh!

  • I never received a confirmation email, but can log on at the www.tweedrun.com site and see my details, so all looks good. Anyone else missing the email? (Teddy said somewhere that there should be one, I've PM'd him but expect he's rather busy at the moment). Otherwise could someone forward me a copy of their's if there is important.useful information in it.

    Ta.

  • Where do you log on ? all I can see is something about pre-registration.

Have you checked your spam folder? Mine ended up in there.

(I'm not sure anywhere on the site links to this anymore, but there was a link somewhere on registration day, and I found it in my browser history).

    No, nothing there either.

  • No, nothing there either.

+1 - no email, no spam.

Have just logged in though - thanks for that link up above.

  • If you did not get an email confirmation it is because you did not complete the registration process and your registration was not confirmed. After the waivers there were two pages to complete (three if you needed to pay for postage).

I completed all pages, and got a confirmation page, with a summary of the contests I had selected to enter and a rider number (#91). I can log on to the site via the link above, and it has remembered my details. What more could I have done?

    (Will email the organisers...)

  • There is now a button on the members page to re-send the confirmation email to your address so that you can print it out to collect your pack in case you mistakenly delete the original.

  • By today I'd assumed if pack was being posted then I'd not get confirmation email? Is that right?

Thank you! I turned off all my mail clients, used the new button, and bingo! Picked it up via the servers web mail options, so nothing had the chance to filter/delete/hide it.

(edit: Just recieved the one you sent earlier - must have just been lost in the Ether, will probably get the original one tomorrow)

  • @ anyone who didn't get the confrimation email, I am currently going thru the paid list for reg, if you paid to have reg sent I can confirm you. Otherwise do as tis says and reconfirm.

PS Tis, you sir are a star... much love to you and mrs.tis for being so helpful.

packs will be posted on the same weekend that packs become available for collection in london -- 27 march.

again, if you have not received confirmation yet, you can log in to your account and request a new confirmation email, using this link:
