• For me the Holga thing is similar to the Unicrap thing... It's a label that some people use to make money off enthusiastic beginners. I like that Holgas get people into photography but developing your own film is something I can teach you in about 20-30 mins. B/W printing in an hour or so, the rest is practise. Holgas are great because they're really simple so you don't have to make any decisions and can just enjoy picture making. Making a £200+ 5 week course out of it smacks of opportunism to me. If people here would really like to learn how to dev their own B/W film I'd be happy to try and work out a session in my darkrooms at college.
