You are clearly a prick!
Almost certainly I am (or can be), but that's beside the point. Anyway, no more flaming from me - you've had a gutful. It will look a bit better in that colour with decals. But it will be like a repro Louis XIV sideboard, or a classic car (a capri?!) with spoliers, flip paintjob and 19" chrome spinners - when you started with something idiosyncratic but charming. Anyhoo, your bike yadda yadda, hope you enjoy riding it.

new project...
Gah, this looks exactly the sort of path frame I'm looking for, colour and everything! Been searching for ages as well. Please tell me it's large so I can forget about it!
... which builder is it?

And I also have to say that using 'gay' as an insult pretty much makes you (borneo) thoughtless, or alternatively, homophobic. You're denying homophhobic, so I'll have to assume thoughtless.
I would describe my girlfriends bike as "girly" and I wouldn't ride it to work because the boys I work with would take the piss.
I would describe that original paint job as "gay" and I wouldn't ride the bike to work like that because the boys I work with would take the piss.
I am neither girlaphobic or homophobic.
I did also however call it bent wich was thoughtless and I am genuinely sorry if I offended anyone.

How a paint job can have a sexual preference, i'll never know ;-)
But as said previously, Keep the good projects coming.
Get the thread back on track. At some point soon, something like this:
I have wheels, tubes, tyres, cranks so far. Work on the frame and fork will start when I get paid nextCant wait to see this Jammy
Gonna be sweet! -

I'd recommend some foot retention there. stickers look alright, well done (apart from for the white chain).
had some home made holdfast straps -not a good idea and one snapped while skidding=crash ha

I would describe that original paint job as "gay" and I wouldn't ride the bike to work like that because the boys I work with would take the piss.
Sorry mate, but it just doesn't cut it for me.
So if you were a gay and own a"gay" bike you'd stay at home and avoid going to work, because of the "boys"? :-)It's your bike, you can do what you want with it, but... you could simply get an old plain frame and do the same instead of wasting something unique. There's enough gay loving people on here who'd buy it of you for crazy money.

I honestly didn't do it to piss people off. I thought I'd got it cheap on ebay because no one wanted it because of the paint job. Never thought anyone would be bothered let alone so many people so bothered.

• #22840
Don't sweat it too much Chris, I'm sure you meant nothing by it. It's a shitty word to use and people on here are hawks for that sort of stuff. Also, it's your bike to fuck up however you like. The paintjob was incredible but I'd wouldn't like to own it either.

Got this gay frame. Should I powdercoat it red or black? Thanks!
make sure to 'clean it up' first then paint it red cos itz faster

ha ha, this thread is gold today.
i am laughing that if chris decided to sell that bike for "crazy money", he would have prob endured equal guff for trying to make a profit. so i guess now he has a bike that he likes etc etc and it doesn't really matter.
BUT i would have never changed that paintwork. especially because it reminds me of:
....dream weaver etc etc

The electrical tape is still on there with the chrome all lovely and shiny underneath...
Good move with the chrome anyway Chris*

where did you get the parts from?
various places -ebay, local bike shop and mainly here
why? -
• #22850
Well I guess I just thought it looked shit in the first place. IMO it looks better now, even if it is a FOFFA standard paint job but It would appear I am very much in the minority!
LOL
Now a minority of 2
I like it tooHa ha ha ha ha
Now you're fucked
frame looks a little on the long side judging my the seat position, id swap our for a shorter stem if the frame is a bit big for you.
