Well today, I went east. Way east.....to Triton Cycles (in Barkingside). I went there to get some Halo Courier Berlin tyres. I bought 5.
Yes, I am sick of puncturing.
Anyway, I got there, and was met by Luke, who is on this forum. Very nice guy, with time to chat. The shop is small and friendly, with everything being logically laid out. Prices are really good. They specialise in all sorts of riding, with their 29er section getting quite a bit of business. If popping over there, and I do definitely recommend it, their service is really excellent.....and they do things for FREE, that many other shops charge for. If wishing different parts from a standard bike, they'll often (obviously if bought from them) make the changes required, and it wont cost nish.
I really liked the shop, and had to stop myself buying something quite expensive, that I didn't need. If you do pop along, make sure you call first to arrange for your preferred stock to be in the shop itself...otherwise it will be at the warehouse. Oh, mention you're from Lfgss......it can't hurt. And ask for Luke. He looks like BRM's siamese twin, separated at birth. ;)
One really interesting thing that they do, is supply threadless BB's. So, for the old steel frame that has stripped threads, life goes on.
