Camp-shank.
This reminds me of what Multigrooves wrote - what if chavs one day decide to drop their recent image and go fixed - with Campagnolo hats, Rapha jerseys etc? :-) This shank would be like an ultimate toy.

*Moser custom built prototype track time trial frame: interesting carbon design, made for Francesco Moser for testing for 1 hour record attempt. 622/24" wheel size, 100% hand made in Italy. Size 57-58 cm equivalent (compared to traditional frames). Aerodynamic and stiff, very special bonded aluminum track fork. Frame weight: 1310 gr!!!!! Fork: 348 gr.*

Side-saddle P-Far ftw!
Note the rear wheel offset to keep the CG over the line joining the wheel contact points, making this *not *a single track vehicle. Was it really easier to do this than just to allow ladies to wear trousers? Also note that the glass plate photography doesn't permit the potatochopping out of the support wires required to hold the bikes up for the necessarily long exposure. -

Wouldn't the bike be a little unstable if the wheel's a bit off-set?

Ask Chris Boardman, his Olympic Lotus didn't have the wheels in line.
