  • last time they said they only had stock of large stuff so many people dropped out the loooong queue to save disappointment - however low and behold on entering there was a mass of 'S' and 'M', needless to say i was overjoyed at the pickings . .

  • I wouldn't say it's pricey. Seems very reasonable, for clothes made by pixies from magical threads of pure kryptonite. Otherwise it would be a ripoff.

tee-hee. too true, Skully. although I'll still be there tonight, elbows sharpened - at one of the first sample sales I picked up a pair of their bibshorts for £40, which for me was a top drawer bargain. hoping to get another pair today....

  • Cool, I take a large! flexes guns

  • Cool, I take a large! flexes guns

    ahahahah !

  • only 5 people in the queue!

  • only 5 people in the queue!

34 waist black rapha fixed shorts, paul smith rapha tour de france green jersey and a warm cap type of thing if they have one. all for 30 pounds please.
pint of guinness in it for you.

    thanks jd

  • And the small Rapha pink T and woolly hat with the ears for no more than £25.
    2 pints in it.

    Seriously.

  • Wicksie dont go for the wooly hats, they stretch to fuck and aren't that warm - get the regular winter hat - much better.

  • Ah, cheers Clefty! I think there was only 1 left the other day that was part wool, which is the one I meant. Unless they put new stock out?
A non stretchy one please JD!
    Nice one, ta!

  • I like Rapha, their stuff is pretty nice. Pricey mind, but nice.

Quality comes at a price. Mrs Brave got me the softshell for Xmas. It is without (my) doubt worth every penny (she paid for it)..

  • Queue update pls JD

  • Any shorts with a 34/36 waist, black. Prize: a whole night of self-exploration with yours truly!

  • If I'd known that was on the cards I would have gone. Or pulled an all-nighter with the sewing machine...

  • Medium to large size queue, few in at a time. Don't think JD will be replying any time soon.

  • Maybe 50 at the minute price list circulated. Jerseys 40 or 50 trousers 50 caps 5 jackets 70 I think

  • Any gilets?

  • What kind are the jackets going for £70?

  • Any shorts/plus-4s?

  • First 10 people pretty much got all the good stuff and came out with full baskets. Everything else left is xxl, xl, and some xs. No jackets by the time I got in, and unless your size is in the above, then all you can get is socks, possibly base layers, arm/leg warmers, and maybe a rapha bottle..

I managed to get a nice merino long sleeve for £50, down from £160. Thats was it though.

  • first 10 you say? ^^ nice one jd , i'll call you later about collecting my stuff.

    sorry if i missed something.

  • I remember there was one in the old shop layout. It was quite shocking how animalistic grown men can be. Highly undignified.

  • Excellent, I shall pick up some man-size pieces on the morrow.....

  • legwarmers were really cheap 15 pounds. there were loads of medium and large

  • i went in to condor to buy some bartape at 4pm and there were about 20 people queuing for the sale. when i left there were a few more. i had some other stuff to do so came back at 5 and the doors were still not open but there must have been over 100 people outside. i stood in the queue for a couple of minutes and phoned a mate who works for rapha about how many medium jerseys were there. i left after that phone conversation.

  • So who was the Bstad who bought the entire box of hats?
An hour wasted queueing for xl+ or xs jerseys.
