Last year Jack Jones and Bob Doyle, survivors of the Spanish Civil War died.....they fought for liberty and democracy when their own governments turned their backs on them and effectively backed the fascists and let democracy die.....What did Mr McQueen *actually *do for humanity....I mean *really *do? Pity someone kills themselves......but so what....it happens......some in Spain, France, and in Germany rather kill themselves than be captured, tortured, betray comrades and then be executed.....those were principled men and women.....Like McQueen my mother died 3 years ago and like him...i miss her very much but she would be very dissapointed we me [probably disgusted] if i had killed myself...that much i owed her...so i have little sympathy! I am with Platini on this one [even if does correct my spellings]

War veterans, concentration camp survivors I've met the lot seeing as this includes most of my family have a lot more feeling and understanding then you do. Calling someone a fat cockney makes you sound like a bigot and a racist.

As if it was ever a conscious decision based on any hierarchical merit.

Platters is not as widely unpopular as his detractors like to think and, actually, I don't rush to his defence every time he is a bell end any more than I rush to criticise you every time you are one. The "you should get out more" line is lazy and tired. And bare this in mind too; every day someone will be slated in very personal terms for not thinking enough about whether or not they should have started a thread but I was polite and reasoned in my questioning.

You mention war veterans. I've met dozens of Normandy veterans during the last year, some of whom have died, and they all have a great deal more humility than you you pretentious, arrogant wanker.
