Sadly the NHS wouldn't treat me. They said that I had to leave it untreated for a long period before considering whether to do anything. That was not satisfactory.

Are you asking for the treatment over the Drs advice? maybe try another Dr - you can ask for second opinions until you get the one you want, that and drum it up a little, you can't sleep, stress etc all the knock on illnesses that would cost the hospital more to treat.
