and get some fatter tyres. If a bike can take up to 47c tyres then rude not to use them :-)

Its a good looking frameset - makes me want to take up polo!

Big tyres are on the shopping list too, might be a while until I have the £ though.

think it may be good for more than polo. I am planning to use off road (can use big tyres) and the long tt/short stem/good standover combination makes it ideal.
Could also be used for tricks I reckon!

new wheels, stem and bars are coming very soon thoughshes not heavy
shes my brother -
• #289
what parts are you going for?
-
• #290
I just went out for my first proper play on it. wow it's awesome, I've got barspins pretty much nailed, riding fakie is improving rapidly and hopefully wheelies aren't too far away. It's ace to ride, loads of fun for tricks and hopefully will be good as a polo steed.
I'm so glad I sold the Condor for it, best bike I've ever had.

/attachments/20951arrived today, built and ridden this evening, took all the parts of my volume cutter the scissor feels much more sure footed, only gone for 32s on the tyres as anything wider will roll of my b43s, am looking to sell these and get chuckers, otherwise im loving it managed a triple barspin with ease as minimal overlap, keo spun fairly easily although a little more sticky to spin due to the wider tyres, in the half hour i have ridden it i just wanted to rag it around, its got that playfull feel to it, yeahhhh
well pleased :)med scissor

My frame came today (sooner than I thought) but no forks yet.
Quite impressed with how nice the finish of the frame is. Very tidy looking construction for £180.
I know it is not a bike for someone that cares too much about weight but just in case anyone wanted to know it comes in around 2.2kg on kitchen scale (size small). I was expecting a bit lighter as the sales blurb says it is much lighter than the Plug. Those Plugs must be f'ing heavy :-)

Im running my 47c Conti Tour Plus tyres on Open Pro's, was out and about for a fair bit yesterday with no problems though i'm sure they are about 3 times as wide as max recommended width for those rims.
Il maybe go for a 42 or 38 once i wear out the back tyre. The 47s are a bit big and heavy to push along and it seems a lot harder to resist the pedals going downhill and skidding takes a bit more effort. It does suit having the frame filled out a bit more than the 28 i had on it when i posted the picture.I could have slammed my wheel in the dropouts but i decided to leave another link in the chain and keep the wheel a bit further back so it doesn't loop out as easily when wheelyin. My last bike had the wheel slammed and fag paper clearance on the seattube and was a nightmare to wheely.

According to this on Sheldons site a 44c is still in the green. I will probably go for a 42c.

According to that Sheldon thing 32 would be the max.
Mavic site states that Open Pro's are 15mm wide, no? -
• #298
Oh aye and the Mavic site says 28 max width!
-
• #299
whoops sorry, thought Open Pros were 19mm. At least my Aerotracks are 19mm so I am alright jack, although looks like an excuse to get some 29er disc rims in near future...
-

surely a 29" rims would be fine wouldn't it? since theyr'e defintely designed for bigger tyres.
My god, smeear on a new bike?
