my chain is clean <-small amounts of silicone aerosol spray every day.
wax lube <-- too sticky. Like fly paper is to flies, wax lube is to dirt.
vegaetable oil <-- dries and become sticky ^ see above
olive oil <--- see above ^
Synthetic oil <-- doesn't dry but is contaminated by dirt after time and is very very dirty on your clothes.
