Thanks, I used a hacksaw to cut through the welds then filed and sanded it smooth, i was at work so had no power tools and it was quiet so i just took my time.
The mount is quite flimsy anyway so there's not too much to cut.
You maybe can't see in the pic but there is a polished looking patch on the legs where the mounts were. I cut strips of wet n dry and kind of wrapped them around the legs to sand out the filing marks.
I'v not cut the disc mount off so closely because a) it's underneath/behind so not seen so much and b)its really close to another weld so dint want to weaken anything.
