I just rang Winstanleys to check on how the order was going, as far as they know things are still going ahead for the 15th February so hopefully we'll have them in 3 weeks or so.

ahh man, thats sick!
What does 36-13 run like? anybody know?
im running 33-12 on my bmx, im guessing it will be the same as that.
36-13 is on the high side for fast road so way to high for messing around on I would have thought. Equals 75 GI with those tyres.
It is nothing like your BMX gear of 33-12 though due to wheel size. A 1.75 tyre will give you 51 GI !! -

Anyone know the sizes and the biggest size for this?
-
• #155
Someone mentioned that the TT on the biggest on is a whopping 58cm on this topic.
-
• #156
correct, the medium size has a 58cm tt but this is sort of counter acted because most people will be running super short (40mm or so) mtb/bmx stems so the net length is the same as a more square frame.

You'll be lucky. Guys at CSG are expecting the shipment to land in Britain on the 18th ie arrive at the dock. Reckoned it'd be a week or so after that till they are out and about.
Edit: Thats for the medium frame. I think the 15th was the date for the forks right? Could be on a different slow boat?

Not sure how Charge can put effective top tube length whilst the HTA and STA are followed by ?
Do they know the STA/HTA or not...

58.6cm!!! that's pretty long, look like it'd be fine for tall rider.

But it is still intended for a 40mm stem which would make it 62.6 which would be same as 52 TT with an 11cm stem (in other words a small rider)
Of course you could put an 11cm stem on the Scissor but I feel the rider would be buying the wrong style of frame if they plan on an 11cm stem.

I think the '?' after the head and seat angles is to indicate that these angles may change depending what for/wheel/tyre you use.
The Scissor fork is quite short so that fork plus a 28 tyre would result in a steeper angle than a long fork with a 32 or 38 tyre. -

Not standard practice to put ? just in case people use different tyres or forks, it has to be set on some configuration.
Visually the frameset looks steeper than the angles suggest (which is good!)

Probably still to small for me. I hate being massive!

Im 6'2 and have ordered the medium. I reckon with a bit of post out it'll fit fine for riding anywhere and i want it small for doing tricks anyway. I was actually considering the small but reckon the longer tt of the med will make barspins easier.

I'm 6"7 man! Where'd you order yours from?

Get a large bruiser. Far more sensible geo
-
• #168
Wouldn't a large Bruiser still be too small for us giant folk?
-
• #169
It's all about TTL really, and they're longer than a scissor.
Prolly's pretty tall, and you can see how much post he has out on his Bruiser. Plus trick bikes = lower saddle anyways -
• #170
I suppose, do you know the top tube and seat tube lengths of the largest Bruiser? I don't want to UTS.
-
• #171
Man you are lazy!
-
• #172
Still to small by the looks if it. Gonna have to cut a bit of my legs out soon...
-
• #173
Cheers, Ed. Yeah that's what I'm saying. It may have an appropriate top tube length, but even on a trick bike a 56cm seat tube is a joke. If it was 58/59cm I'd consider it.
-
• #174
i had a go on prolly's bike, i'm about 6ft2, it was a little too big, but its really about personal preference..
-
• #175
It's 56 c c, so it'll be 57.5 ish to top. Plus it's sloping top tube so I'm guessing it'd measure up around a 60 in real terms.
You see mountain bikes recently with all that post out? Makes sense on a trick bike like this to keep the frame small just like them (more standover, more strength)
Called n pre-ordered mine.
Guy at CSG reckoned end of Feb.
Ordered a med but thinking i shoulda maybe gone small so it's even more bmx-y...
