Only problem then is that it won't let me book my bike onto the return flight...
It is semantics, but if you were only taking a frame over, you wouldn't have to book it, would you? so why not tell them it's bike parts ?
Would probably help if you give wheels to someone else though.
Ryan Air charge £80 for you to cary a musical instrument, £20 for a baby seat, £80 for golf clubs...you have a good point but i have a feeling companies like RyanAir make their money by being difficult and charging through the teeth for what ever they can get away with. I wouldn't want to risk turning up to find that there's no way of getting onto the plane without leaving my bike behind.
