  • Hey Crane - long time no see

  • ^^^ hit the nail on the head, the trade price is something ridiculous like £52

  • Hey Crane - long time no see

yes i saw you post something yesterday i was gonna shoot you a pm, but got side tracked. how have you been? i haven't seen you or marco in fuckin ages.

  • i was looking at those unit 29 frmaes too, i can get them new for £79 from work

    p.s nice build rascal

I think I'm going to look at the Charge Scissor for a 29ers, fixed wheel with front brakes naturally (Kona P2 disc fork).

  • @MDCC- yep its that one there, the piant job is actually really nice IMHO

i thought you were getting a Condor Pista? also what's this you were saying about the BJ being uncomfortable?

  • Yes I am, obviously in the future I'll think about a 29ers.

The BJ is somehow uncomfortable for me despite being fitted perfectly on it, no matter how many time I've adjusted saddle heigh, change crank length, handlebar, stem length etc. I simply cannot get any comfortable on it, yet on my father's bicycle and other, I'm fine on it.

it bothered me quite a lots, as my plan was originally to have the Bob Jackson as a fixed wheel bicycle that'll last me indefintely, now it doesn't seemed like the case anymore, shame really, I really like how it ride.

  • kingcutter where did u get those rims?

  • Yes I am, obviously in the future I'll think about a 29ers.

i'd wager by the end of the month.

  • Ed, how many bikes do you have?

  • kingcutter where did u get those rims?

  • Ed, how many bikes do you have?

2 and a half, I'm always ahhing and oohing on bike I like to have.

(the half is the Holdsworth that's yet to be build up, that frame deserve proper treatment).

  • yeah, what shop or website, what are they too thanks mr lunch

  • Ziya, if they are the ones three pages back, they look like white velocity deep Vs. I couldn't be sure what shop or website they were actually from.

I doubt you would get a 2.0+ knobbly off road tyre in the back so what makes it a 29er anymore than any other 'track' type bike with larger clearances (i.e. Steamroller)

I can see where you are coming from as I also prefer tighter geo that MTBs typically have so maybe I am just hung up on the 29er label :-)

  • That looks really small actually.

pffft looks big to me ;)
