Coming back to my first question, can skidding and skid stopping be an aggravation for the fatigue of a frame?
It seems unlikely, given that it provides less braking, and therefore less force, than using actual brakes. Also, the loads, such as they are, are applied only through the wheel mountings, which are already designed to accept large transient loads in all axes as part of normal riding.
