  • it's BSA right?

    back in the day, a bike company called birmingham small arms (BSA) made bikes. everyone made different threads. this pissed people off, therefore the british standard cycle (BSC) was developed to solve this. this is the standard people mean when they say british or english. these terms are redundant as a lot of the BSC standards was adopted by the ISO standards. ISO cycling standards cover things from thread, to clamp diameter, to rim diameter etc etc.
