Re: windows 7, they all come with the starter edition now which limits some of the processor hungry useless features (or shiny bits) which makes them quite usable. The new Atom processors also handle flash really well (although i would ditch IE as soon as you get it in favour of Chrome).
Only thing, as someone else said, is that they don't come with CD drives. My girlfriend has the old mini 10 and hasn't needed the CD drive she bought for it in 6 months.
