  • my friend who works at the British Library told me that four bikes were stolen from the front bike racks today.
    this is a bit of a bad spot for stolen bikes, and the same three kids are seen time and again on cctv. but they are really sneaky. anyway, usually only wheels and seatpost/saddles go missing, but today they succeeded in stealing a bike which had 3 locks.
    this is because they now have a grinder apparently.

    just thought i'd post this as i know a few people on here lock up at the library... so be careful

    feels like there is not much that can be done when hand tools are involved

    exactly where i leave my bike most days, thanks for heads up - did it all happen at night?

    thinking about it how quick would a grider go through orange mini kryp and i guess it is a battery powered (grinder) - least the battery wont hold out that long, could you equate how many locks you'd need to beat the battery.
