you keep saying this but we all know that you do need to skid. Not all the time agreed, but if you want to ride at normal pace you will need to skid a few times on each ride as leg braking from 20 mph is just not effective enough and you would spend as much time gradually slowing down for lights, junctions, corners etc,. as you would cruising along.
Unless by riding brakeless you mean riding at under 10 mph :-)
I still stand by my original comment that you don't need to skid, even if you're going fast, it's more about figuring out what's going to happen next, is there's an 'exit' in case the original line you chosen is blocked, certain part of the road where you can cane it without needing to dramatically slow down when approaching the nearest junction.
having says that, I still do skip stop though, which doesn't really wear the tyre that much, much more effective than a skid per se.
