does anyone have experience of internet tethering to a laptop with t-mobile? it seems while it's o.k to do it with t-mobile as my phone was purchased through them apple are having a bit of a hissy fit because the phones were sourced from t-mobile in germany.
there seem to be a few ways round it but they are very complicated and involve 3 different bits of software and going into terminal and typing bits of code. i don't want to brick my new phone.
the tech guys at t-mobile are looking into it but there is no official support and apple will not want to know.

I know that this works for enabling tethering on O2 without signing up to their tethering plan (routes traffic through the usual iPhone data APN). There might be a T-Mobile UK option there too.
