  • I disagree to a certain extent, aren't Onions, Anderson, Broad and Sidebottom all fast/mediums who try to swing the ball? what we are lacking is sheer pace and aggression, someone who can bowl fast and hit the deck, Freddie and Harmy have gone now and we don't have that option any more. They keep trying to turn Broad into this, but he simply isn't that kind of bowler. A strike bowler that not only creates pressure (think Flintoff to Ponting 2005) but can also finish off a tail, something that both Eng. and SA have trouble doing at the moment.

I don't think any of them are as consistent as Hoggard, too much variation which lets up on the pressure.
Broas seems to want to do too much, trying something different every ball, but he's still got time on his side to develope and improve.

As for true fast bolwers, that is something cricket in general is missing.
