Yeah, and my bank balance is suffering!

I salvaged the saddle (an old s. italia flight) and that's about the only freebie on it.

Parts list of the top of my head: Phil Woods laced to Mavic Open Pros w/ Randos; Thomson seatpost; Izumi 'Super Toughness' chain (bought it for the name on the box alone! ;-)); MKS cheap track pedals with LL clips (free nylon straps will be changed forthwith); Nitto Technomic stem; Nitto B125 bars; Sugino 75 w/ Zen ring (I actually ordered the SG75 ring but was sent a Zen); Campag Centaur bb.

You need a better BB and Frame.

For the moment I like the frame, it's 853, fits me perfectly, has pretty tight geometry for a 90's road frame, welds are good quality, paint work is nearly mint, could with new decals or without them altogether, and it was a good bargain IMO.

Might upgrade the BB in a bit but it's the headset that currently warrants the most attention.

Still at least I've bank-rolled a decent parts set-up if I ever get the cash and/or inclination to get a new frame.
