@jc & rpm is there going to be some kind of *cap *on the amount of genuine herne hill old steel that can be purchased before the gates open at 10am - if people/cyclists are all rushing down there and standing in line in the rain and cold only to find that everything has been bought by all the stall holders then we may as well stay in bed nursing hangovers and wait for the stuff to arrive on the bay, no?
.
So far as I'm concerned, we won't be getting the stuff out until 1000, I may also suggest a cap on frames. ie: not to let a jumbler take the whole lot only to sell them all on at a profit. The stuff is being sold to help pay for the new fuji stadium bikes, and although we want to get rid of it all, we would rather it was bought and used personally instead of being a vehicle for an individual's profit.
Having said that, we'll be selling them at the same price to whoever, so the jumblers may not leap on them immediately. We won't be devaluing the jumblers' stock by selling ridiculously cheap just to get rid, yes there is some stuff which will end up being given away gratis, but we sold complete bikes for £120-£150 and frames for £75-80 each last time we opened the container so that will likely be the price for the stuff in good nick.
