The Hope lights are gorgeous quality. I've got a Vision 2, been running it for a year and half now, and can't fault it ...apart from I wish it had the QR as on the Vision 1 above to make switching bikes easier.
It's kept me company on the DD, the national 24hr tt, an overnight to Glastonbury, a pre-dawn ride to the coast before work, and many night-time laps of Richmond Park.
Ed, if you can go for it, I would recommend a version with the rechargable battery pack. It's very convenient for the longer (or brighter) burn time over a weeks commute, at not much extra weight or bulk. Just a personal preference, although am thinking of getting a vision 1 to helmet mount for next year's nocturnal fun.
I think the Vision 1's too heavy to helmet mount. It might be slightly better if you don't use the included mount, and just o-ring/velcro it to your lid, but your neck might complain before too long.
