the reason i got one is that i read it is good to use two different kinds of locks, i am also using an evo mini, and planned to eventually be using fah mini and chain, and a disc alarm.

Unless I'm missing something, none of Krytonite's chains ever had black links?
Peculiar that Krytonite would lose faith in a tried and tested chain, and go for another. -
• #356
indeed, it is now a paypal claim, (the seller escalated it?) and they are claiming they work for kryptonite, even if they do they still know fuck all!

the lock is the same as my old krypto hcain lock, but the chain is odd.

I recently was given an old womens "pannonia?" bike i personally have never heard of it, however i know little about bikes, and wondered is anyone knows anything about it? It was made up of odd bits it seemed and was wondering if anyone recognised what any of the bits were?
http://www.londonfgss.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=17294&stc=1&d=1257809232 this was on the front wheel hub which appeared to have no other markings wondering if anyone knows what it is?
The rear wheel is a sturmey archer wheel i think its internally geared? but it had no gear levers on the bike so not sure
The last photo i have no idea what it is?
Cheers John

I will give you a 5er for the lot?
I think the last pic might be some sort of old fashioned dog tooth... does it have 2 front chainrings? The dogtooth is attached to the downtube and stops the chain over shifting off the smaller ring.

The sturmey archer hub is a 3 Speed AW. Wipe a bit more dirt off and it should have a date stamped in.
650A is an unusual wheel size for the UK I think, it's more common in France.
Actually according to Sheldon 650A is very common on old English 3 speeds. -

Cheers JohnThe rear hub may have lost its little chain that actuates gearing. look here for more info:
http://www.sheldonbrown.com/sturmey-archer.htmlEverything looks pretty standard, nothing flashy or valuble. I pretty sure that front hub is not a Colnago BTW.

Goggle tells me that Pannonia was a Hungarian motorcycle manufacturer. It is the latin name for Hungary. The only hits for "pannonia bicycle" that lead anywhere relevant are of hungarian bikes.

Cheers everyone
sorry mc nebula not really looking to sell these parts just wondered what most of them where,
Also someone mentioned that the sturmey archer had lost the chain for gearing can that be replaced easily looked on sheldon brown and couldn't seem to find anythign about how to replace the little chain?
Thank John -

They made millions of AW hubs. you can get the little chain, cables, gear lever and all the mounting hardware on Ebay easily, or just strip it off an old bike - there are enough worthless abandonded bikes with perfectly good Sturmey Archer gears.

Congratulations you are proud owner of a pile of random old crap.
Value: fucking millions if you happen to try and sell it in Hackney.

velo libre, unfortunately, it seems you have wasted your money on a chain that can be hand-bolt-cropped.
May I suggest, for value-for-money, maybe the Motrax? Its a 19mm U-lock, and only just under 25GBP. My own GRPS 18mm U-lock is just under 15GBP. I'm really surprised, because you've been on here quite a while, and thought that you would have benefited more from security suggestions already on here. All in the Locks That Work thread.
