Finally done. Wanted a more modern and fully new build next to my 'classic'/vintage/used parts build. And still the frame came at a great price via HKFixed/Brian, much lower then the standard vigorelli (my earlier choice). Have some gold nitto drops and risers lying around for it aswell, but need to find a right stem first. I like the high rise for now. Also must compliment and thank Mack for the Hubs. As he did a great job on them, and actually redid them twice without extra costs. Hope it stops snowing by tommorow... Really need to try it out well! Cheers.

have to say nunknow i woulkd be sceptical of a poor finish on campag compnents, my record cranks are absolutely porn worthy, even my cheap road groupset (think its xenon) is realy well finished.
£150 isnt that cheap really to be honest, i paid less from total cycling last year but then again the economy has fucked itself since then so sure the off the shelf prices are frightening by now.
+1 what Ed said. £150 is not an amazing deal either.
I know that 150 can never be seen as little money, I would however (with the actual prices) see it as a sweet deal, for Campagnolo. No one is willing to drop prices nowadays, the shield ones on ebay don't go under £250!! (used), even total cycling is doing the same as mine for ±180+shipping... everywhere else is around £200; since they were brought to me, and I paid what I asked for... I think it has been good, really good!
Regarding the finishing, as said earlier, i feel a bit of a drama queen now... in all seriousness these cranks are the shizzles. After looking at every pic posted above I see the exact same marks on every single arm, old or recent, they all have it. Mines are just too shiny so every spot stands out... i'm too much off a perfectionist when i want to do it right. I'm an happy camper now. Thanks for all the feedback and help. ; )For the purposes of comparison:
Note the number on both the shield logo and the new ones on the inside of the right arm.Yours have a 6, mine have a 7.

For some reason, the Campag Record with the shield go for silly money on ebay sometime, a modern Record without the shell go for about £150 which is a normal amount on ebay.
I got mine for £150, completely brand new and unused (the modern version), sitting nicely on the holdsworth at the moment.
Remember, the imperfection of that crank are usually in area you don't see often (on the back), so don't worry about it, polish it up and ride the hell out of it.

ok i'm working this up a bit. Yamaguchi built GT for the USA national cycling team, sometime between 1992-1996, i think.
I need some things:
real track cranks, looking for Mavic 631 or campy record - just threw those on to test ride it.
have some cinelli LA84 pursuit bars, cinelli stem on the way.
need to track down a 650c tubular tire
I have another set of wheels planned, white deep V to campy record hubs - I built the front already. like so:
also this was posted in the bike porn thread... i've updated it a bit:
Sorry to spoil your fun, know its a repost (well i think it is) but this bike is to sexy to just have up once.
zipp 440s on a rear 24h suntour superbe pro hub, 16h on campy record hub. selle italia slr xp, kcnc seat post, nitto jaguar stem and b125 bars. its damn fast out there.
