Shaving, Wet shave vs electric

I have used this razor for about a year now and its super, I found it on the floor of a garage when i was fixing my dads landrover, you twist it and the side fold up to replace the blade, Cool.

I'm thinking of forging my own straight razor like this one

But Im a bit out of smithing practice so itl take a few tries
