Saw a police van jump a light this morning, I caught him at the next light and asked if he was on call, the answer was no. I then asked if he had intentionally run the light, and he explained that he is a trained advanced driver and had observed properly. I said that was funny because I have made similar comments to police officers when I have been caught. He asked me why I was hassling him, I explained it was merely to reciprocate.

You should have said.

"You are not THE law but merely its representation. And I pay your fucking wages".
