  • As you know Zed I have some similar bars, used in the drop (rather than rise) way 'round. As they have made the ride more upright, this has caused some problems for me with saddle position as I am putting more weight on there. I am thinking of going back to drops because of this. One thing to consider is the possibility that these bars will alter your riding position to be more prawn-like... so a shorter stem might actually make that more pronounced. Is the frame on the long side, for you? You tend to bend in a different part of the spine which may not be ideal, and that would be more apparent with a short stem.

    I would try it with the stem you are currently using first. Change one thing at a time, as it were.
