  • I'll take the cranks... PM'd...

  • I remember not so long ago when you posted this in the Riders, Bikes and Faces thread, all proud as punch, and then got some pelters about toe-clips or whatever offence it was you'd committed. How quickly they grow up!

Do people really go and spaff over a grand on a 'build' at BLB or wherever and then not really ride it? Honestly. Young people. * goes back to knitting*

Well, I built this up over summer, when I was working ridiculously long backbreaking hours, so I was kind of prevented from ever riding it seriously. No problem I thought, since i'll be taking it to uni. Well, that didn't work out too well either, because i'm in St. Andrews, and this place really isn't condusive to riding a track bike, let alone a brakeless fixie. It's hilly, the main street is cobbled(wtf?), and you can walk to everywhere worth going in under 5 minutes. I've taken it out maybe 4 times since I got here in mid-sept.

And yeah, I wasn't in 5k debt back then haha.

I only bought the back wheel from BLB...and they installed the BB/Cranks.

  • anyone else for the crank?????
    damn' it's the 16th dibs!!!

  • Oh sorry did I say ironic? I meant to say ridiculous.

  • dibs on the aerospokes if you split. P'm on the way.

  • You are 5 grand in debt from your first term, were you using fifties to fuel your boiler?

  • This is the way it is - you can build computer from components on cheap or buy from Apple with a hipster tag.

  • You are 5 grand in debt from your first term, were you using fifties to fuel your boiler?

That's considered normal behaviour at St Andrews.

  • i love the fact everyone's "dibbing" stuff.. the guy hasn't put up individual prices yet.

HenvY ignore the dreamer who tried to tell you what your bike's worth. As a whole it may not be to people's taste but the frame and a lot of the components are worth plenty more than he's taken it on himself to say, though I'm sure you know this already.

Chipped and scratched aerospokes have been going for more than £100 on here for ages. If this one's lightly used then £200 or more would be nearer the mark.

It's just another thread full of geeks trying to be smartarses. Go off and sort your own builds out, a lot of them need work.

  • Second dibs on the 'Spok, that'd look sweet on my BJ.

  • Dibs on cranks...

  • You are 5 grand in debt from your first term, were you using fifties to fuel your boiler?

It's worse because I was well in the green when I came here, hahaha. It was a fun first two months, for sure. It's mostly because the wage bill for my servants is rather ridiculous now that i've been forced to pay them 'minimum wage'.

  • Pajamas= FGSS sound of reason.

  • I think you are pretty off with those figures

You would get nearer £200 for the spok - i sold mine for over £200 , and you should be able to get £150 for the cranks/chain ring.

Rear wheel you could easily get more than 50...

I think you're right about some of those price guesstimations he made but regardless, he'll never sell the whole bike for the amount of each part combined. Split & sell is always the way to go with a basically new and little used bike like this...

....Agreed. £5 for two tyres is a bit of a joke too. Easily get £15 or £20 for 'em. To me those are the lowest prices things would go for not the highest.

Just to say, yes I was prob off with allot of the prices.

I put a ? in and thought there might be a bit of correction from others on the prices I was out on.... and I'm glad ppl have pointed this out.

The clear msg form this thread is split and sell, split and sell, split an......

[Also I was really grumpy this morning.]

  • I still want the forks. pmd

  • would be interested in F+F...
