I had one I didn't get along with, so I gave it to him. I dunno if that's a woman thing, though. Anyway the aesthetics are relevant - if she likes it that much she'll give it enough time to settle in, and then it will be comfortable. I was never enamoured of mine, really.
There is a woman-specific wide Brooks with springs (B67?), but it looks a bit Miss Jean Brodie.
Springs are awesome and I'd love to have an excuse to buy a B67, but unfortunately they don't belong on her bike:
I guess I'll give it a go, the saddle looks flatter than a turbo which is rounded at the top, and I'm guessing that keeps pressure on the sit bones... all guesses really but I know she'll love how it looks.
