you can get u-brake plates too but then need a seatpost clamp with the hook bit to hold the cable. The plates for those are less obtrusive.
I think a v-brake plate will work. Nothing wrong with a bit of jubilee action now and then. Perhaps we should examine Camerons set-up first...
