There's a guy on an orangey MTB/BSO (bike-shaped object) that rides through New Cross, seen him three times now, with forks that are only about 15-20 degrees less bent than these. He is riding the bike pretty fast. I wince every time I see him, but he's always on the other side of the road from me cos I really want to tell him to stop riding it. It blows my mind every time I see him that he thinks its OK to ride.
I spoke to him at the lights at Tesco on the way home one night about the forks. Eastern European fella, very chipper and didn't think it was a problem :(
There's another BSO on the OKR spice route with similar damage but rider being a genius has turned the fork backwards so he's kind of got the wheel back where it's supposed to be.
Required him to disconnect the vee-brake but lets face it his risk assessment skills aren't up to much anyway. -

I had a little laugh at this yesterday and the karma caught up with me this afternoon. I now have a set of forks that wouldn't look out of place in here :(

anyone know any stories behind any of the photos?

Anyone would think that some of these bikes are being used for a purpose other than that for which they were designed!

It is good to see I am not alone. Unfortunately my picture collection involves human scars to. Not for this thread.

@Veloshrimp I think it's about time I resurrected this thread... given my recent record with totalling nice bikes that i can now afford :(
how ironic...
I like this thread, scares me a little but it's interesting.
This is my old Fort frame after my crash in May this year.
