  • Shouldn't be a problem but you wouldn't really need to. 145psi, is that right on Zaffiro's, thought they were 120psi?

  • New Rando´s!?

  • its right, they are marked 100 psi min, 145 psi max.

  • New Randos!?

    Has Ed tested these yet?

  • ha!
they seem to be only in 32/35/38c though(t)

  • That's weird, the one in the photo looks like it says 33c.

They look nice, hope they come in a thinner profile though[t].

  • They come in 23 an 25 as well?

Actually they don't, not sure what those tyres are?

I think you´re right, they´re the same tyre

*this might the rando coming out of the collabo (hate this werd) between Vittoria and and Mash SF...
I´m pretty sure reading somewhere they (Mash) wanted a rando in smaller sizes... Might b this.

  • In the product details it says:

    • The Randonneur Hyper's Aquaflow tread design and an optional horizontal reflective band continues
    • Vittoria's devotion to the most reliable and comprehensive tyre range in the industry
    • Casing: Nylon 120
    • Weight: 700 x 32c - 350g,
    • Aramid 3D compound

Also, on the picture of the tyre you can see "35c"

    I'm confused!

  • Far from a new tyre, its just a new version of the previous Randonneur Hyper tyre....widely available AFAIK.

  • I don't get it, in the description it says it is a 32c tyre, whereas the two order options you have on the very same page are 23c and 25c.

Someone order a 23c and see if it is a 23c....

  • Far from a new tyre, it just likes a new version of the previous Randonneur Hyper tyre....widely available AFAIK.

It says it's a new tyre on the vittoria webpage!

  • It's newer than the old version. But James is right, it's not the 23, 25c Rando' we're waiting for.

    :P

    :P

Ergo, a new model/version of an existing tyre, not a new tyre....pedant.

    ;)

  • Parker International 2010 Randonneur Rigid 25C £14.50

    http://www.parker-international.co.uk/11636/Vittoria-Randonneur-Rigid-Tyre.html

  • i ordered one of those last night from there

  • Keep us posted on how you get on with fitting it.

  • 25c is not the best size. 23c is better.

  • That was a very interesting first post. Well done.

  • 25c is not the best size. 23c is better.

    Prove it.

  • No, you're a cunt.

  • Anyone's got a spare 32? No sure it would fit so I'd like to try first.

  • After a while of riding on the normal 28c rando they feel more sluggish than when new. Pressures are kept over 100psi. Made a strange discovery though, I fully deflated my rear tyre to check it was seated properly and literally a tyres worth of water came gushing out. This would explain the sluggishness.

BUT, I'm used to a bit of water getting into the rear but not this much. How does it get in and can you stop it?

  • from the top of my head - the eyelet on the rims let water in, and/or the gap in the valve letting water in the rims.

  • 25c not actually in stock at Parkers yet, they just threw them up on the website for the hell of it. They can be a proper PITFA alot of the time.
