• I can add very little to this thread now other than in concurring with all the 'WAC' and 'got what he deserved' type comments. I would however just like to say that I wouldn't wish such an accident on anyone because it just strikes me as a bit sadistic, though he is a lucky shit for not having broken his neck at least.

Well, to return to this I agree; there's been a lot of bizarrely blood thirsty stuff in this thread from people who normally like to present themselves as liberal. (Plus the usual guff from one or two knee jerk vigilantes). People who wouldn't go for the idea that being injured, maimed or killed would be an acceptable judicial sentence but who think that would be fitting for the driver in this instance. All without knowing for certain if there were any mitigating circumstances. And having been doing what I do for a living for so long I don't need anyone to tell me about bad driving. I see it all day every day and have had many friends badly injured by it. And I have experienced the fantasies of revenge and impromptu 'justice' that it can provoke. Someone getting smashed up as a result of their own stupidity is not my idea of justice anyway. After all maybe the driver isn't the only one who will have to pay the price; maybe there is a family that will have to pay too as a result of the many consequences of his injuries and that's not just or fair either.
