If it were "man" female heterosexualists would, presumably be "homosexual" which they are, clearly not.
I must just add that I find the now all too frequent use of the adjective "homosexual" as a replacement for the noun "homosexualist" to be discouraging. A creeping slackness is pervading our language, innit?
