spotted isn't about the attractiveness or otherwise of who you spot, thats subjective from your part and has no bearing on what they look like to the rest of us, you could have just said, girl on x bike at x road at x time, describe distinguishing features of bike and them and leave it at that, rather than what you said below.

Agree with the first part, but it's hardly a "poor" description of the bike - all the poster seems to be lacking is brands - I wouldn't be able to spot the bloody brand of a hub at distance while travelling by bike - I prefer to look where I'm going. (Granted the poster later said he was in Starbucks) But my point being, how much of a pedant do you need to be to name each brand and model of bicycle componentry for the description to be elevated above "pretty poor" status?
