Get back on the rollers old man.
I have been out on the road, whilst you've been picking your bum at work.
wanna borrow some rollers? get some cadence above 80rpm into those stumps of yours?
-
• #178
I've been earning money while you've been doing one of your boring road rides. You can keep the rollers, I'm fast enough, thanks.
-
• #179
Earning money is overrated. I prefer to do the work then just wait months and months to be paid
-
• #180
Hehe well I won't be paid for this shit until next year probably. But that's under my control whereas I'm pretty sure you're not talking about the same situation. 5 weeks in Oz is gonna hurt moneywise.
Can't you use your madtrakskillz to chase down your debtors? -

I just use cheapo double sided mtb SPD's like the ones above,Been using them for 15 years I reckon. Still on the same cleats and no issues. got a very duff knee so the float on them suits nicely. Cheap and robust. Work well

First day of riding with SPDs. Why oh why oh why didn't I go clipless sooner??????????
-
• #183
Because carrying a second pair of shoes around isn't much fun.
-
• #184
I don't go anywhere that wouldn't have my SIDIs.

Three words.

Mine two.
-
• #187
i have just invented a pair of vans in my head that comes with removeable stiff carbon inner soles
-
• #188
Just had a 5 minute spin on my new Time ATAC's and I'm an instant convert from clips and straps.
-
• #189
wait another 10 minutes. you'll fall off then. and then wonder why you did it. but still use them.
-
• #190
Never.
-
• #191
unclipping wasn't the original problem, it was clipping in.
-
• #192
give it a bit longer.
-
• #193
......longer......
-
• #194
has he fallen off?
-
• #195
On an unrelated note I missed out on a pair of SIDI's on the bay last night in the dying seconds.......if I find it was someone on here bidding against me, I'll be miffed.....
-
• #196
Don't worry, you guys will be the first to know when I fall off using them.
-
• #197
i just won a pair of sidis!
-

Two words.
Spandles.
been clipless for 7 years, 4 of of them riding fixed, no problems just joy.
have a collection of cleated shoes now for every occasion
spandles for the summer
shimano gortex boots for wet and cold
3 different shimano designs some more snug/smarter that others
and sidis for best
(Though did get some funny looks for wearing sidis and a suit to my dads wedding)Just need to design some converse all stars with cleats to complete the wardrobe

Im going to guess Shimano Expert Carbon mtb shoes.
steady on old man, I wasn't even comparing walking boots to cycling shoes, let alone trekking with cycling shoes!
my mere point is that a stiffer shoes does not mean it'll be less comfortable.
